TOUCHABLE TEXTURES

New York Times writer Patricia Volk once called this motto held by interior design legend Robert Denning as one of the “Denning Laws.”

Along with form and color, texture is one of the pillars of interior design. But this does not mean it should be viewed as a backdrop. Textures, as Denning’s motto goes, should catch the eye and draw you in. It should play with your senses and emotions to create not only a look but a feeling.

Explore some touchable textures and ways to work with them to create interiors that are as engaging as they are stunning, in the above photo galleries.
