THINKING OUTSIDE THE DRUM

The drum chandelier, a workhorse “go-to” fixture for many spaces, has a close cousin that is often overlooked but equally capable of transforming a variety of interiors, from transitional to contemporary. We call it the ‘prism’ chandelier.

Prisms – typically rectangular, sometimes square or trapezoidal – are incredibly versatile linear suspension fixtures that offer a refreshing alternative to the drum light. They’re perfect for hanging above bars and rectangular dining or game tables, mirroring the lines and angles beautifully.

A prism chandelier can be streamlined and simple, offering a great contemporary alternative for spaces where you don’t want the fixture to compete with panoramic views or rich colors and textures. Or, it can command attention with a custom design of eye-catching materials and unexpected design details. Puck lights can also be incorporated on the underside of prisms to provide a dramatic accent as well as additional task lighting.
