Designers Own Homes : Megan Tennant

Congratulations to Megan Tennant and Colorado-based Forte Design Studios for winning a 2022 National NKBA award! Tennant’s fabulous “Thunderstruck” project, showcasing natural materials in a crisp contemporary aesthetic, featured our stunning Hammerton Studio Rock Crystal multi-port chandelier.

Tennant took the first-place Clay Lyon Builder Remodeler award in the 2022 NKBA competition, spotlighting sleek interiors of her personal kitchen. She incorporated Hammerton’s artisan blown glass fixture, resembling naturally occurring crystals from the Earth.

Megan Tennant describes her design objective as “creating an energetic jolt of passion, emphasizing the heart of my home, the kitchen!”

 

Tennant was expressive in her deliberate intention to encompass rustic, natural woods and stone found in the mountains surrounding her Colorado home. “We wanted to blend a natural aesthetic with a bold modern twist,” she points out. “I designed a space that embraces our love of nature, incorporating rocks, stone, and warm wood tones. The cascading Rock Crystal light fixture from Hammerton Studio ties these elements together flawlessly.”
