CITY MESH, FROM UPTOWN TO DOWNTOWN

If you’ve been following our blog, you already know that we captured the attention of the interior design community when Hammerton pioneered decorative mesh lighting nearly seven years ago.

Our innovative use of woven steel mesh material brought a new dimension to lighting design by achieving airy volume without adding extra visual weight. Classic shapes allow our mesh fixtures to complement a variety of interior design styles, while handcrafted details and finishes allow them to add just the right amount of decorative appeal and sophistication as they diffuse light beautifully.

With the success of Hammerton’s “functional mesh art”, we’re now introducing a new, curated selection of attractively priced mesh fixtures into our Hammerton Studio Collection. Called “City Mesh”, this new collection offers designers and homeowners a series of contemporary, budget-friendly lighting solutions that can solve a wide range of design dilemmas with their airy, dramatic feel.

City mesh fixtures include two looks, which we call ‘Uptown’ and ‘Downtown’, that are available in two finishes. The ‘Uptown’ look, featuring our traditional woven steel mesh, provides subtle, sleek urban sophistication. The ‘Downtown’ look features a heavier decorative mesh that offers a slightly more rugged look.

Both Uptown and Downtown City Mesh fixtures exude strength and softness while adding an ethereal diffusion of light and an edgy decorative appeal. All fixtures can be paired with vintage bulbs, and many can be ordered with a linen or glass shade option to soften the overall look.
