Available on our most popular collections for an extra fee, Hammerton Studio translucent finishes are a premium patina finish requiring extensive hand polishing and special finish coats. The translucency of these beautiful patinas highlights the artisan-crafted beauty of the underlying metal. Translucent finishes are recommend for dry-rated installations only. They are not recommended for use in coastal locations or high humidity climates where moisture content and salty air can accelerate finish corrosion, even on interior fixtures. They are covered by our Five-Year Limited Warranty when installed or stored in dry-rated locations and 10+ miles from a coastline. A long-lasting LED light source is integrated into this fixture and is dimmable down to 1% of light output without flickering. This fixture does not take traditional filament bulbs.
Color temperatures of 2,700K and 3,000K both fall within the range typically associated with traditional filament bulb lamping and are considered ideal for residential and hospitality applications.
‘Source lumens’ refers to the total light output emitted from the entire fixture before it passes through a lens or diffuser. Integrated LED source lumens roughly equate to:
‘Color Temperature’ refers to the general color tone of a white light source. Lighting with a lower color temperature will emit warmer orange-yellow tones, while higher color temperatures will emit cooler blue tones. Color temperatures of 2,700K and 3,000K both fall within the range typically associated with traditional filament bulb lamping and are considered ideal for residential and hospitality applications.
‘CRI’ stands for ‘Color Rendering Index’ and measures a light source’s ability to show colors realistically as compared to natural daylight. For example, filament bulb lamps are typically 95-100 CRI, while a fluorescent lamp can have a CRI as low as 60-65. So the higher the CRI value, the more natural colors will appear.
